Episode 43 – Twitter

Tweet tweet! This episode is all about the social networking site Twitter. You know the one. 140 characters or less. Many people use this gift to keep the world updated on what they’re eating at any given moment. It does have some promising qualities though, so Craig and I sat down and twittered on for a bit about Twitter.

Episode 42 – Prince

Get funky! This episode is all about His Royal Badness, Prince. Quite an odd character, this one, not unlike Michael Jackson. A musical genius as well, not unlike Michael Jackson. Who’s better? YOU decide!! Vote NOW!! I’m kidding. Don’t vote. It won’t be counted. I have no means for measuring your votes… Anyway, listen to the episode and find out more about the life and career of Prince Nelson. Yup. You read that right.

Jobs Are Time Consuming

The Wikicast is now going to be a fortnightly podcast instead of a weekly podcast for the time-being as I’ve had to go out and get a job while the True Ingredients continue to work in the recording studio. Apparently in order to buy food and such in this planet of Earth, you need some sort of economic bartering tool and this requires some time and effort. I hope you’re not too bummed about this, and we’ll see you next week for an episode as normal. Thanks for sticking with us!

Episode 41 – Solar System

Happy New Year! The very first episode of 2012 is all about our wonderful Solar System, without which we wouldn’t exist… so you wouldn’t be reading this text right now. Mad props to the sun for all the good times, huh? Anyway, this week Adam and I learn that there are over 44,000 centaurs flying through our solar system, we’ll all have died out in a nuclear war long before the sun explodes, and we talk about how Pluto’s membership to the Solar System Planets club didn’t get renewed in 2006.

Episode 41 – “Solar System” (55:19, Steve O’Gallagher & Adam Pollard):

Episode 40 – Christmas

Merry Christmas! The 40th episode of the Wikicast is all about this wonderful time of year with the core human values of family, generosity, alcohol consumption, and skiving off work. Hurraaay! Ceri and I sat down to find out some interesting little facts that you may not know about the holiday traditions, and also to mull over our past Christmas memories to see if we’ve suffered any lasting trauma as a result. The verdict? Inconclusive…

Episode 39 – Tornados

Nice to see you, to see you: nice! Today’s episode is all about tornados! There’s nothing quite like strong weather to give you the willies and yet take your home and family dog all in one go. I’m joined this week by Adam and Ceri as we learn that some tornados can be 2 miles wide, that Adam reckons chasing tornados in a “Storm Car” is a sensible thing to do, and that the Dutch get rage when you mistake The Netherlands for Holland…

Episode 39 – “Tornados” (48:21, Steve O’Gallagher, Adam Pollard & Ceri Patterson):

Episode 38 – Australia

G’day mate! This episode is all about Australia. Hotter than the surface of the sun, and filled with all sort of things designed to kill you such as spiders, snakes, and swimming knives (according to Dylan Moran). Nevertheless, it sounds like a fun place to check out as we learn in this episode featuring Craig who’s actually been there. Watch out for a slew of terrible accents…

Episode 37 – Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson. You know the one. Huge superstar, and mysterious man. Boy, did he have some CHUNES! This week, Ceri and I sat down to chat about the life and career of MJ: all the controversies, but also just the man himself. You can’t deny, dude had skills…
